It is time for the annual Christmas play at the Valley View Charter School. For the past twenty years, they have produced Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. In keeping with tradition, the students are responsible for all areas of the production: direction, acting & all technical elements. However, this year’s students are a bit 'avant-garde' and have their own interpretations of how to portray the play. The director quickly loses control of his cast, the crew and the show, making their final production very far from this traditional, classic story.

BEN - Director. Trying to keep his rag-a-tag group in check. This does not happen.
ACOSTA - The stage manager. Always on top of things… maybe a bit too much.
EMILY/BELLE - A sweet student who is excited about taking the stage for the first time.
CONNOR/SCROOGE - A child star, or so he thinks, with an ego the size of the school.
GIANA/GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST - Typical pop-star, wannabe diva who craves the spotlight and of course, the attention.
SHIVANI/GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT - Quirky and likes to talk a lot. Can’t help but break the 4th wall during the live performance.
CHARLOTTE/GHOST OF CHRISTMAS FUTURE - A very chill and funny skater chick. Maybe too laid back though.
GRACE/MRS. CRATCHIT - Seemingly normal but extremely nervous when on stage. Has severe stage fright during the live performance.
GIOVANNA/MAYA/JACOB MARLEY - Cheerleaders who decided to join the play this year. Friendly, fun and super happy- they just can’t ever be separated, even in their role.
AUDREY/TINY TIM - The perfect student for this role. Positive, hopeful and embodies the spirit of the show’s message… which is why it is so detrimental when she loses her voice the night before the show.
BRUNO/YOUNG SCROOGE - New to the school and seemingly innocent, until he is corrupted by Connor.
EITAN/BOB CRATCHIT - A great actor who is easy to work with. Everything changes though when he loses the hearing in his right ear the night before the show.
RILEY/TECH - Very eccentric and overly excited about adding any sort of pyro-technics and other elements that would never make sense for this play.
AMELIE/COSTUMER - Big visions for the show’s design, only to find she was confused about the title.
